IMPROVEMENT DESIGN AND SIMULATION ANALYSIS ON CENTRIFUGAL DISC ORGANIC FERTILIZER SPREADER

Aiming at the poor efficiency in crushing a handful of caking organic fertilizers spraying from traditional disc spreader, an improved spreader equipped with spike-tooth unit was designed introduction its structural composition and working principle. Also simulation experiments were carried out based on discrete element method according to solutions made before after improvement. Firstly, granular fertilizer model established EDEM bonding built HMB (Hertz-Mindlin bonding) contact model. Then two spreading models corresponding respectively established, which repeated three times process. The analysis particle velocity vector diagram revealed interaction relationship between toothed shaft, external wall disk, verifying mechanism unit. By calculating total number bonds generated broken process both models, average rate separately 58.87% 98.05% each solution, revealing that solution outperformed terms fertilizers. This research will be reference designing critical components or improving overall performance spreader.
